InPowered Mindset respects your ability to make informed choices about your personal information. This policy explains information handled through this website and in communications about books, coaching, educational programs, workshops and speaking.

1. Information we may receive

• Contact and inquiry details: your name, email address, telephone number, organization, role and the information you choose to include in a message.

• Registration and service information: booking details, participation records, preferences and information you voluntarily provide for an agreed educational or coaching service.

• Purchase information: order, delivery, transaction and billing details needed to fulfil a purchase. Payment providers process payment information under their own terms and privacy notices.

• Technical information: the website platform and embedded services may process IP address, browser and device information, pages visited, timestamps and similar usage information.

Share only what is necessary. Please do not put confidential medical details, identification documents, workplace secrets or another person’s private information in a general website inquiry. A reflection exercise does not require you to disclose information you would prefer to keep private.

2. Why information is used

Information is used to respond to requests, provide requested resources, arrange and deliver agreed services, process and support purchases, maintain relevant records, protect the website and meet legal obligations.

Where website usage information is available, it may help us understand how visitors use the site and improve its content and operation. Personal information is not sold or rented.

3. Consent and communication choices

We explain the purpose of collection and obtain consent where required. The information needed to answer an inquiry or deliver a purchase is different from permission to send promotional email.

Requesting a resource or contacting Ed does not automatically enrol you in unrelated marketing. Promotional messages are sent with consent or another lawful basis and include a way to unsubscribe. You can also email us to change your communication preferences.

You may withdraw consent for optional uses, subject to legal or contractual limits. This does not undo processing already lawfully completed, and some information may still be needed to fulfil an existing request, maintain required records or resolve a dispute.

4. Service providers and disclosures

This website is hosted on Squarespace. Website hosting, forms, email delivery, scheduling, payment processing and similar functions can involve service providers that need access to information to perform their functions. Their access is limited to the relevant purpose and applicable contractual or legal requirements.

Information may also be disclosed with your consent, to fulfil an agreed service, or where the law requires or permits disclosure. We do not promise that Ed is the only person or system that can ever access information processed through these services.

Third-party websites, retailers, booking tools and embedded media have their own privacy practices. Review their notices when you choose to use them. This policy does not replace those notices.

5. Cookies and website technology

The website platform may use cookies or similar technologies for essential functions such as security, navigation and shopping-cart activity. Analytics, embedded media or other optional services may involve additional technologies.

You can manage cookies through your browser and use any consent controls made available on the website or by the relevant provider. Disabling cookies may affect some features. Consent to an optional use, where required, is separate from simply reading this policy.

6. Coaching and group confidentiality

Personal information shared in coaching and related communications is handled confidentially, subject to your consent, the access needed to provide the service, and applicable legal requirements or exceptions.

For team or organizational engagements, confidentiality and any reporting arrangements should be clarified before participation. Attendance alone is not permission to disclose personal reflections to an employer. In group settings, we ask participants to respect confidentiality, but cannot guarantee how another participant will use information you choose to share.

7. Storage, security and retention

Reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards are used in light of the sensitivity of the information. Access should be limited to people and providers who need it for an identified purpose. No website, email system or storage service can guarantee absolute security.

Providers may store or process information outside Quebec or Canada, where different laws and lawful access requirements may apply. Contact us for information about the providers relevant to your interaction.

Information is retained only as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, an agreed service, legal or accounting requirements, or the establishment, exercise or defence of legal rights. It is then deleted, securely destroyed or anonymized as appropriate, subject to applicable requirements.

8. Access, correction and privacy requests

You may contact Ed to request access to your personal information, ask for a correction, withdraw optional consent, ask about retention or deletion, or raise a privacy concern. Additional rights may apply depending on the law and the circumstances.

We may request proportionate information to verify identity before releasing or changing records. We will respond within applicable legal time limits and explain any lawful restriction on a request. You may also contact the appropriate privacy regulator, including the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec where applicable.

9. Assessments and Eddy Chat

Educational assessments and AI-assisted reflection may involve information beyond a basic website inquiry. Review the purpose, consent choices and privacy information provided for the particular tool before submitting personal information.

This website policy does not, by itself, describe all app-account storage, AI-provider processing, conversation retention or employer-access arrangements for Eddy Chat. Those details must be addressed in the app’s own privacy information. Do not assume that a website privacy statement guarantees the confidentiality of an external AI service.

10. Changes and contact

We may update this policy as services, technology or requirements change. The updated date appears above. Where required, we will provide additional notice or seek consent for a materially different use of personal information.
