PRACTICAL GUIDANCE WHEN THE MOMENT IS HAPPENING

Eddy ChatYou don't react from logic. You react from state.

When a difficult conversation, a hard decision or an old pattern shows up, describe what is happening. Eddy Chat helps you slow it down, notice what is shaping your response and find a clearer next step, without waiting for the next session or working it out alone.

A MOMENT TO REFLECT

How can I prepare for a difficult conversation without expecting the worst?

Before choosing your words, notice your state. What are you feeling in your body as you picture this conversation?

My shoulders tighten. I am expecting criticism.

What do you know about the situation, and what might your brain be predicting?

THE NAME BEHIND THE CHAT

Why It's Called Eddy

Eddy is what my twelve grandchildren call me. All of them are eight years old or younger, and they are a big part of why I created InPowered Mindset. I wanted to leave them something more lasting than advice: a way of meeting pressure with steadiness, curiosity and choice.

When I picture a conversation with one of them, I don't lecture. I slow down, I listen, I ask what they notice, and I help them find one small step they can take. That is the conversation I built Eddy Chat to have with you.

It isn't me on the other end. It is the way I would want to talk with someone I care about: patient, honest and focused on what you can do next.

HOW IT HELPS

State First, Then Strategy

Eddy Chat draws on NIRM, State Before Strategy and the InPowered Mindset teaching. Through thoughtful questions, it helps you:

  1. 01Notice your state: what your body and emotions are bringing into the moment.
  2. 02Regulate before you react.
  3. 03Recognize the prediction or inner story shaping your response.
  4. 04Separate what is happening now from what happened before.
  5. 05Choose one small, practical step, and repeat it until it holds.

HOW IT WORKS

Ask. Reflect. Choose. Return.

  1. 01Ask: Describe the situation, or pick a question.
  2. 02Reflect: Answer a few questions about your state, your prediction and your options.
  3. 03Choose: Settle on a next step that fits the moment.
  4. 04Return: Pick up the same private conversation later, or start a new one.
